Default 11.1:1 Compression, what else do i need?

i already have an oil cooler, fuel pump, fpr, fuel pressure, oil pressure, a/f ratio gauges, CAI, 4-2-1 header, i'll have a port and polished head, also shaved, cams, tuned ecu, ported intake manifold, big bore throttle body, catback, high flow cat, V-AFC
what else would i need for when i up my compression to 11.1:1(i'm usin' JDM ITR pistons-stock 11.1:1, someone told me it would bring me up to 11.4:1?) in my 3G GS-R?

thanx,

Jay

Bottom end blueprinting would be ideal.

If you are using the GSR head, your compression will be higher than 11.1:1, the GSR head has smaller combustion chambers than the b16/itr head.

If you want high compression then all you need is strong pistons ITR are good, and either rod or pins then you should be fine runnin over 11 compression. valetrai and head gasket would boost it up some more too.

:wtf:

You don't need better rods for high compression
Valvetrain doesnt affect compression

If you have high compression then most likely you have t to rev higher so with that you would need either better rods or better pins and also better veletrain

Ok now it's making a little sense since you mentioned that. You don't NEED higher revs to capitalize on higher compression.

i actually was gonna use these pistons that r JDM ITR pistons, balanced by Spoon and have Spoon pins and rings, so do i need rods or not? if so, r JDM ITR rods good enough? if not, then what?

i know i don't need higher revs, but i would like to b able to rev up to if not past 9-9.5k, and i plan to spend alot of time on the dyno at different points tryin' to tune it to make power at those higher revs

You are going to need a completely new valvetrain to rev that high.

Your rods are just fine for nearly whatever revs you want. If you do want to upgrade, get Crower Econobillets.

Make sure you use ARP rod bolts on those rods
