Hey guys/gals, I have a question about the oem keyless entry system. I lost my keyless entry unit from off my keys in my house and they cant find them anywhere. But anyway I was searching on ebay and found some units for the rsx, mdx, and what not for like 20 bucks. And plus they look ten times sweeter than the one I had before. Now on most of the auctions they say they can be programed(at an acura dealership) to work with all acura's. Any truth to that?? I called my local acura dealership today but they were closed.

target sells a keyless entry and security system for like $70...

 

The keyless entry does have to be programmed but I don't think Acura will do it if you have aftermarket remote nor do I think it will work. I once got a second remote and they needed the serial info from the original one and to program it they did something like holding the door handle up, while turning the key and pushing down on the brake. I don't know exactly but you get my point.
