Default Engine Sounds Louder

2000 integra
30,307 miles (hardly driven)
Location: Los Angeles

So I have moved to L.A. (work related) and shipped my Integra from FL....since August 09.

Just took it in for 30,000 schedule and there was squeaking coming form the front passanger wheel when driving (front rotors needed resurfacing and brake pads replaced).

.......my engine is noticiably louder after a few days of driving.

Why????

Any input on this?

Thanks,
Fess

Line,

Yeah, think that might be it....

How troublesome is this?

Expensive to fix?

Thanks,

please check your oil or get an oil change.

i fear that the long period of time it spent sitting may have caused the oil to thicken and cause damage internally. but thats worse case scenario.

It all depends. maybe a gasket that needs to be replaced, maybe a broken hanger, maybe the pipes are just rusted through and need to be replaced.

If you dont mind getting dirty, get underneath there, or better yet, get it on a lift, and run your hand close to the exhaust pipes and you should find the leak.
