Are you trying to go forthe HID look? If so PIAA makes good HID look alike bulbs but are pretty expensive. Aprox $75 a pair. Sylvania Silverstars are good as well...cheaper...and some here have done the highbeam to lowbeam conversion with them.

High Intensity Discharge

They are the lights that come standard on many luxury cars today such as BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Acura, etc.

Yes...they do look blue from certain angles. A HID kit can cost $400-$700 depending on quality.

If you want cheap (affordable) look on ebay for Nakyo. You can get a pair of headlight bulbs for like 22 shipped. My friend has them on his Civic and they are actually BLUE. Not "hyper white" with a "bluish tint" like all the other blulbs say. They cost him 45 at a local shop. They're nice if you don't want to get an HID kit though.

I don't know about anywhere else but here in PA you will get pulled over for having these kind of lights on your car. The cops don't go for the bluish tint in them. I would also recommend that you just wait till you can afford a HID kit becuase those other lights aren't going to do much for visibility.

cops are f u c k i n useless, plain and simple, just a few days ago I got pulled over for no tag light.
I would HAVE argued with him if he suddenly went off on a rant about my APC HID's, if he tried finding a law against them in his law book, (1st yr Rookie Cop) he apparently wasn't all that bright, since I have the illegial HID's, all other lights are clears, or Hypers, 2.5% Limo Tint, also my cars dropped to far. It all depends which cop you get stopped by really, how well they know the law, and if they want to waste their time writting these pathetic fix-it tickets.

besides how the f u c k can a cop prove you have just HID bulbs and not a true HID lighting system which is Legal? exactly they can't. they can't pop your hood and look for the HID balist's.(sp?)

So true I was caught by a rookie also with my piaa hyperwhites but he didn't say anything about my clear corners or illegal tint or anything else at that matter. I just hated that I paid the money for the bulbs and had to take them out. Of, course I could have put them back in but seem like more work then anything.
