Normal alarm, but if u disconnect the battery or cut the first obvious lead wire it will continue to power the alarm with a 9v battery in a hidden place. There are actually 2 alarms in my car. the other is for when at night it is in front of my house, i have 2 transponders set up. When the alarm is breached my house lights turn on... Cool huh.
I also had the windows reinforced with mild silicon reinforcement. Its cool b/c when u break my window it creates a rubber shield of glass. That was a neat trick my neighbor taught me.
All i gatta say is, protect ur baby with all u got. the hidden battery trick is a lot cheaper than low-jack and is a good alternative. i know of 3 gs-r's and 1 type R that has been stole in the last 3 months. Im in Los Angeles, man the thiefs are good around here.

Funny thing is i acted like the car wasnt mine and said " nice integra, what is that a type-r? (yeah right...lol)...' He was like ' umm... yeah, supercharged, and turbo with alot of nos..."....I was so pissed as he was trying to pop my hood, that i offered to open the car with my key and unlock it for him.... he just stared at me... tried to run but...my crowbar had some fun...

If it gets taken, they will drive it like they stole it, which is okay when I do it, but I fear the thing will get thrashed. The bug is in the garage, it is a convertible, the top is cherry and I want to keep it that way. If worse comes to worse, I can get another integra, I won't find a bug like this one for under $10 G's(I think it is crazy too) I have about a month to ponder it. I had the teg parked at my best friend's house about 3 blocks from the one I am buying, and some dickless motherfvcker egged it(no permanent damage) SO, basicallly a nice neighborhood means jakc shit, where do you think the criminals go to find something nice, not their own hood.

i park on the street too so i can feel your pain.... we had 8 cars hit in my complex in ONE night! my roomies porche got ripped off. they found it a day later in pretty good shape so he was lucky.

the funniest story i EVER heard about stolen cars happened to my bro-inlaw. at GaTech, his built camarco got stolen from Peter's Parking deck. It was gone for 2 weeks. The cops found it in the projects and gave it back to him to check over for damage (it wasn't stripped). He hopped in, started looking around and noticed that those 12" custom boxed fosgates weren't there before, neither was the fosgate 200W amp, crossover, or head unit w/ 6 disc changer. His response was "Yes sir, everything looks fine." - it was about $5000 worth of ICE! - here's where Darwin makes his appearance- a week later the SAME TWO GUYS tried to steal it again b/c they wanted the stereo stuff back !!!!! he caught them this time and called the cops. they cornered them inside of a block and sent them off the AssRape land!

I plan on doing the "hidden fuel switch" trick to try to prevent this. (wiring in a kill switch into the leads on the fuel pump and hiding it somewhere in the car) I'm thinking about hollowing out a section of the padding in one of the A-pillars and mounting a push button switch under the cover. or maybe behind the passenger seat up under the upholstery.... hmmm..... :naughty:

That's by far the funniest car theft story I've ever read. I'm so used to stories of car thieves stripping down cars and leaving them in an alley, I guess I never thought that a dumbass thief would keep a car to OWN after stealing it, and actually HOOK IT UP!!

Man..that's great that he got to keep all that stuff, though. Also: "AssRape land" - lol!!!

Nice stories guys.

Tobra, I wouldn't mess with it. Even if replacing or locating the car if it was stolen isn't a big deal to you, its an unnecessary hastle. Seriously, thats like the most commonly stolen car out there, and I'm sure your wife's SUV is just as replacable. Put the bug and the teg in the garage and tell your wife to shove it (respectfully, of course:fawk: )

I've got a story for you guys.....

I had a paper route for about 4 months and it was one where the paper has to go on the porch. It was not a nice area so not a lot of people got the paper. I just drove and got out and put it on 3 or 4 porches. Well there was one area where i did 7 houses. It was winter and 5 in the morning so i kept my car on because it was cold and i had to get out around 40 times in the morning. As soon as i got to the last house of the 7 i turned around and saw my car (89 accord) pulling into a driveway and leaving. I was pissed.:upset: They found it the next day and the only thing that was wrong was that they stole my radio. My boss was pissed cause i didn't deliver all the papers. I know i was stupid so i don't need those coments...lol
