ABS is an unnessicary complication for good drivers. It was designed so that the average Joe can slam on the brakes without thinking and still stop in a reasonable distance. ABS is a mechanical substitute for manual braking skill, and IMHO 1) gets in the way, and 2) costs more then it's worth. Shorty before I parted ways with my '92 GS, the ABS light came on. As it turned out, it had a bad ABS modulator unit and the only way to fix it was replacement... for $1500 plus labor!

I will not intentionally buy another car with ABS, my personal preference.
