I just installed an OEM HU today. It took me three days to think of a way to get it to hold secure, but I don't know if my method will work for long. I went to home depot and picked up two 1/4" x 4" bolts. There is a bar that goes across the middle of the space where the radio goes in (right above the pocket). I screwed the bolts through two holes in the bar and kept screwing until it was pushing up on the radio. I am HOPING that the tension of the bolts pushing up will hold the radio in place. Hopefully the bolts won't unscrew and the radio won't pop out b/c if it does, I'm going to have to remove the whole center console again and remove the bolts and think of ANOTHER way to secure the radio.

??

The bottom of the pocket is held by two screws onto the console. The stock HU in turn is screwed to the pocket by two small brackets and screws and then in the back by the aforementioned two 8mm bolts... why did you go through all that?

I didn't see the pocket being held by any screws. I know that the pocket attaches to the HU by two brackets and screws, but I didn't see any screws to hold in the pocket. If I'm missing something could someone please fill me in?
