Default ITR/CTR camshafts

Are the 2001 ITR camshafts the same dimensions (duration) as the CTR camshafts?

Yeap, should be.

Pre-01', the CTR intake cam >> ITR intake cam.

The only difference is that the CTR/'01 ITR intake cam has 3 degrees more duration. Nothing major really, they both produce about the same results on a dyno.

The thing is, I just checked the dealer parts catalog at www.acuraautomotiveparts.org and the '01 and '97 ITR intake cams are the same part number. So hmm. I would just buy the set from them anyway, it's only $450 for both. The extra $100 or so per cam that most JDM shops will charge you for the CTR cams isn't worth the extra 3 degrees of duration.

Default cam gears

what company makes a good reliable sproket for the type r camshafts? As usual, everyone has heard of the AEM slipping, but that could be due to faulty installation. does Mugen make sprokets? thanks for the help everyone.
