I'm considering buying some nice racing seats, and I've found some that weigh 25 lbs, and I was wondering if this is a decent wieght? what do some good racing seats usually weight? also, they are DAD (dynamic auto racing) seats. Now, I've never heard of that brand, but they sound decent, and having the work Sparco on my seats is not a nessecity for me. Does anybody have these or can tell me if they're good or not? thanks a lot!

 

Sparco makes nice carbon fiber seats for the Integra, my friend put them in his 97 ITR. He said the weight reduction was VERY significant.

I've never heard of DAD either, but if I were you, I'd look around and see who else makes a CF racing seat. I'm sure plenty of companies do. Start making phone calls and asking what things weigh, look at product info, etc.

 

well, i'm thinking a carbon fiber seat would be massivley expensive, and i don't really need a carbon fiber seat, I'm don't need that extrem a weight reduction, but i do want something that will look good, be a little safer, and will reduce the wight, can anybody answer my question of what some typical weights are?
