I did mine with 2 other friends at home on my 00' teg GS in less than 18 hours... we were drinking at the time too
hahah ... 3 days is nothing man..

 

$1000 in LA. that's all i know.

 

 

You better stay attached to her if you do this. Your car will be worth almost nothing after having this swap done.

 

thanks for all the info so far guys, i really appreciate it. yeah i really do love the car. i can't afford to buy another teggy yet, just got her in january of 2001. that & the dam credit cards got a hold of me.

 

why did you get an auto in the first place?

 

sell it. it's basically stock. you're already losing money on it. what do you have done to it that makes you so attached to it? you barely have any mods.

 

I was in the same situation. And i eventually sold my auto teg. And a year later, im now shopping for a new teg. Don't waste your time spending more money on yer car, just cut your losses and get a stick. There are too many problems associated with a tranny swap, unless you did a full engine swap alongside it.....which costs alot more $$$ then necessary.

 

About the fast and furious "click click", if you are talking about the interior noises, that is sound effects (cheesy ones at that). The exterior "click click" might be a blow-off valve from a turbo?

Get a new car, with a manual.
