Make sure you use green and not orange coolant. Technically, you should be using Honda coolant since it doesnt contain Boron & Silicates which can adversely affect aluminum.

Ive been told from those in the know that its really just overpriced garbage, and any green coolant is the way to go.

any green coolant and mix it 50/50 with water.

WHAT HAPPENS if i just filled it with all ANTI-freeze???

NIXONride 02-21-2003 10:47 PM

HEY... what happens if i filled it all with anti-freeze instead of adding water ?

MrFatbooty 02-22-2003 09:19 AM

Antifreze is designed to lower the freezing point of water, not to cool the engine. You need the water to cool the motor, the antifreeze is like a "water modifier" to make it more versatile for extreme conditions.

So.

You need some water in there to actually cool the motor.

do not just fill your car up with anti-freeze. even it warm weather areas you should use a 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and water.

NIXONride 02-22-2003 01:36 PM

so what do i do now that i've filled it all with anti-freeze? slowly add water as it emptys out?

gsr2k 02-22-2003 03:16 PM

Flush it and start over.
