I was hoping somone could let me know what material and what grade of material it is.. i have a friend that i might have fabricate me one for my first gen '88 teg. I cant seem to find any reasonable intakes for it.

Can your friend mandrel bend piping? That's whats going to need to be done to get best air flow. I know they are aluminum though I'm just not sure what the specifics are.

my friend mandrel? yes he does custom piping and he will most likely make a bend, but it will prBABLY CONTAIN AT LEAST ONE RUBBER ELBOW JOINT OR SOMETHING SIMILAR. i'LL WORK ON THE SPECIFICS THIS WEEKEND AND TRY TO COME UP WITH SOME HOW-TO LINKS I FOUND ONE ALREADY ON A GEN1TEG SITE SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

For a ram air intake you shouldn't need to make any bends. I guess it could help air flow if you did though.

Get the cheap ones on Ebay and then swap the filter. Thats what I did on my G1. Well Thats what I was planning to do. I had the OBX piping and a HKS SMF filter and extra element. but since the G1 body rott was worse than I thought, so I stopped working on it. Was hoping that I can do that with the G3 integra.

That's what I'm doing. I get the intake soon, then I'm gonna put a K&N filter on, and I'm thinking of putting in an AEM bypass valve too, just to be safe.
