Default Is this a smart idea?

Hey guys I have a question thats rather odd. Being I work at a motorcycle store I was given a brand new exhaust the other day. I was thinking I could put the muffler on my car??? theres a pic of it at fmfracing.com, then click 4 stroke then mufflers, and its the Ti 4. All it basically is is a 14 inch straight through muffler, just like most exhausts. My only concern is the width of the inside, probably not the same as ones for the car. Anybody have an idea how it would sound. Hey its worth a shot, you cant beat possibly having a good sounding muffler for free

Are you prepared for a loss of power? With a change in diameter from the exhaust piping to the muffler, you could interefer with exhaust flow and throw some additional backpressure in the mix.

yes. backpressure will be a problem.
And believe me ..

it doesnt sound GOOD!
my friend has a yoshimira motorcycle exhaust muffler bolted onto his crx, and OMFG..it is the most ANNOYING ****ING SOUND ON THIS PLANET!

it is so friggin loud and unbearable i just want to stomp the **** out of his muffler everytime i see it parked.

And by the way.. his crx is running 17's at the track with i/h/e.
So you will see absolutely no power gains from it, nor does it have the potential to build gains wih all of the othr essential bolt ons.

he recently boughta magnaflow catback exhaust system..
I don't know what he's running at the track now.
but im sure he will see bigger gains.

so IMHHO..
DO NOT PUT THAT MUFFLER ON YOUR CAR!
ha.
sell it an save up for a catback.
Apexi N1, or greddy EVO, or maybe a Thermal R&D are really good!

g10 526 - If you want motorcycle stuff then send Skelly_GSR a PM or email.

Generally with a muffler you want to put something on with at least a 2.25" inlet, and you won't really see a performance gain unless you replace the pipes themselves.
