94 Integ Rs Help!!??
Hi guys iv just purchased an 1994 Acura Integra RS Coupe.
I got it from a friend for cheap. Hes had the power stearing belt disconnected how would i go about putting it back on. Also there is some no name exhaust system on it i want to relace it with something a little smaller than the current "Coffee Can" size. Needs Shocks and Springs new to integs so not sure whats really best. It also has a Takimoto Short Ram intake with water shield, 4-1 headers and type r intake manifold. Really needs an oil change but not sure what to run with those mods on it. Also the thermostat is broken and not in how bad is that for it. I live in the northeast it gets humid and hot.
I hope you guys will be able to help me i really like the car.

Yes, whatever will cause the most damage needs to be fixed first. Change the thermostat and while you're at it flush out the old coolant completely
and use Honda Coolant. The most important that needs to checked when you first get an Integra is the timing belt. How many miles does the motor
have and when was the last time your friend changed it?
If it needs to be changed, you can do the thermostat & water pump at the same time. I recommend Valvoline high-mileage oil, its a great non-synthetic oil.

Ok The engine has 77*** and is very strong I jst ordered and recieved them. As for doing the timing belt it hasnt been replaced and the body has 110*** miles. Should it be replaced? thats what iv been told it doesnt have any wear or to much give in it so im not to sure. Not sure on how to change the water pump, thermostat or timing belt. Also my battery just ran out of juice so anything important to know before i get a new one. The other day when i was sitting in my drive way with my friend with the car running i noticed a small puddle underneath the exhaust when i had my friend rev it, i placed my hand infront of the exhaust tip and it got covered in this blacking, browning gunk smelt a little like oil/exhaust. when the car sits at idle a gas smell builds up but never gets over powering. No drips or pooling other than exhaust.
