has anyone smoked their headlights on a third gen. teg.???
im not talking completely black, but a slight tint of it. I think it would look cool as ****. Kind of like the 5 series bimmer lights, i think they are slightly tinted.

 

How would you do that though ?

 

yeah there is a guy that lives near me that has a phoenix yellow type r up to like 400+ hp and tinted his headlights and front bumper lenses yellow. i think it looks pretty good w/ the intercooler blingin in the front too. actually it was in a super street i think. so i dont know if you would want to check that or not. maybe they have something in there on it. i think the guy is kinda cocky but oh well.. i dont know how smoked would look though, just dont go too dark. and what color car do you have?

 

same way you do it in civics
heat it up and take apart the housing from the actual lense
then paint the housing
seen it done on a few tegs, looks aight

 

my teg is black. I dont know if i should paint the housing, I would rather have the lense a little darker. But to do this i would need to remove the headlight, so would the bumper come off???

 

bumper would come off to do that
there is a spray tint or film that you can get at automotive stores if you want the tint

 

airon, that spray tint you are talking about, i can use it on the inside of the lense right??? can it take the heat???
or should it be used on the outside of the lense???
Is it hard to take apart the teg. headlight, gen. 3????

 

i dont think you could get it right if you sprayed it on the inside. and i think they are a ***** to try and get out...you'd prob want to take off the bumper and spray them...or practice on something else first so you dont F up. just gont gay it out haha

 

why not spray the inside of the lens?

 

how would you get an even coat? wouldn't that be a little hard?
