Default Thingy that cuts the engine at 180 km/h

Hi guys i hope someone can help me with this problem i want to locate and remove the thingy don't know if its the trip meter or what but i want it out. Its that thing that cuts the fuel when the car reaches 180 km/hdo anyone knows what i'm talking about.

Mine only cuts out when it passes the red line But i took it to 200km/h with no problems. But i got an gs, diffrent tranny thats prabobly why

its called the Governer, it controls the max speed of vehicles.

its called the Governer, it controls the max speed of vehicles.
I read somewhere that it was set at 155 mph (249 kph) for all teg's.

If your car can't do more than 180 kph (on a track, right?), you've got a problem, and I doubt it's the limiter. What kind of car by the way?

My last car I had ( 2000 LS ) .. with I/H/E and other minor mods got up to 141mph or so... per the speedometer.But we all know how that could be off. Although I did have the correct size tires on so if anything was off it was just the factory speedometer itself.

I have yet to get above 125ish or so with the GS-R.
