Default 91 integra starting problem

I am about to buy a 91 integra and it starts but doesnt say long on for a bit. what could be the problem?and then when it is running for those few seconds it sounds like its missing. This happened on my civic and i had a dead cylinder and replaced the distributor and it fixed it....do you think that could be it or could it be fuel related maybe? and the kid who has it now bought it from a dealer and its leaking at the valve cover gasket...well when i looked at it...that person had put silicon all the way around the valve cover instead of replacing the gasket. but other than that it seems to be in ok condition. i am buying it for 300 dollars. Its a 16 year old kid who has it and doesnt know anything about cars

if you know its missing then might be an easy fix.

i would do a compression test before buying it just to make sure that the engine is still good

got a 91 teg from my neighbor last year, he decided he wanted it to look nice and power washed the engine bay. managed to get water in places it shouldnt have been. Changed the plugs wires and cap and it ran fine.
