Default Just wrecked my teg........

I just wrecked mr F***ing teg... What a bummer. I went around a corner to fast, the rear end came loose. I corrected it, it went the other way, corrected it again and clipped the curb with the fron't passenger side wheel... Damn suspension out handled the tires. I knew I was going to need tires soon, but... NEVER BUY KHUMO'S... The wheel is wasted... the lower control arm is wasted... and the freeking drive shaft is bent oh and the fender is jacked up because the wheel bent into it Now I have to put it all back together my self....

Just had to vent...

the best tires in the world won't correct a driver's mistake.. it's your responsibility to know the limits of your car. obviously you didn't.

Naw i know the limits of the car... It has coil overs, strut tower supports lower tie supports. I know the car really well and I have had problem with Khumo's before. Also I hit this corner WAY faster many times. I was only doing about 40 but the corner is slightly off camber... oh well what done is done... now it is time to put it back together...

Hmm I have kumhos, have taken turns fast, faster, and too fast probably, gotten the back end to swing, and I've always pulled it around. I have never had a problem with losing control of the car with my kumhos. Don't blame driver error on tires.

I agree...I have the stock Michelin's (which are presumably worse than your Kumhos) and have done 40MPH around corners where the rear comes unstuck, but not to the point where I don't have control. Maybe you ran over some silt or loose gravel?

Well I went back and looked at the corner, and there was some oil in the road about were I lost it (my car isn't leaking so it isn't from me). Problaly why the rear end let go without any warning at all.

Let me refrase a little about the Khumo's. The ones on it were ecsta 711... I really had no problem with 712's. but no more 711'1 for me.

On the bright side of things, The only real damage is the passenger side lower control arm. Everything else but the fender is streight . And the good thing about that is I found one for 80 bucks!
