Fuse Keeps Blowing
Hi,
The blower motor fuse has blown out twice after running a/c about 3-5 minutes. Thought I had this problem solved (see https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/i...eshooting.html). If it were a short in the blower motor wouldn't it blow the fuse immediately?
Any ideas what might be causing this?

Not necessarily, could be a bad fuse socket, weak fuses(not likely), or the motor itself needs brushes(most likely). Depending on where you live, road vibrations could be wreaking havoc on connectors or(most likely) the brush springs. Hope that helps.
Thanks, jrgoswick, for the excellent reply. The likely (unlikely) comments were especially helpful.
Plugged in a new blower motor (not installed yet) and the motor is working and fuse functions. Assuming the added drag of powering the fan is not causing the problem I'm hopeful that once installed the a/c will work -- and not a hot FL day too soon!

fuse keeps blowing because theres too much current in the circuit.
current goes up if it cannot reach the load.
maybe one of your wires on that circuit is shorted to ground. maybe a stripped wire touching the chassis. in that circuit, that wire will be before your blower motor
