Need help!! throwing codes..

Default Need help!! throwing codes..

I have a 00' GSR and im throwing codes 17(vehicle speed sensor) and 20(i forgot what it is) and 65(couldnt find this as a code?) but can anyone help me to check these things out? All of a sudden my speedo doest work and its not puttin any milage on my car. but the tac still works. I dont know where to look for these problems.

go find your VSS...i think its a gray "plug" like a socket... i think it was connected to the tranny...go check to see if it got disconnected, cuz thats what happens when u disconnect the VSS..speedometer stop, mileage stops, and the tach keeps going... and its not good for the engine anyway

Is that the little plug thing that sticks out just left of the block... right next to the header?????

...i looked under the tranny and i couldnt find a "plug or socket". Do u know where on the tranny to look i couldnt find it.

its not under the tranny...should be viewable from the top...and yeah it should be on the left side...not exactly sure what location...but it is not under the tranny and it on the left side (passenger side). and its not the plug thing next to the header... thats something else.... im talking about an actual plug. like an electrical socket... it has two plugs that connect to each other... does that make any sense?

yea i THINK i found it but it was already plugged in. How bout this is anyone going to the Dallas meet that can help a brotha out??? I need help with this its pissing me off.
