2000 Integra GSR Burning Oil
VTEC burns oil. VTEC operates at higher oil pressures and temperatures, and thus burns more oil than everyday driving. So if you are in VTEC a lot, that's normal.

Just to Clarify... I am in Canada and am talking kilometres and not miles. So it is burning 2/3 quart per every 715.58 miles. I do race it to work every day and usually only use the VTEC when needed on the Highway when passing..
I find it really hard to believe that it is normal to have to put oil in the car after every 3rd fill up....

honda engines shouldn't burn oil at all when there is nothing wrong with them, the vtec might burn some off cause of the heat. but it sounds like you dont drive it hard much. the dealer is trying to put it off cause they dont want to pay for the warranty job. dealerships are ass's and i try to deal with them as little as possible.
I agree with you that Honda/Acura should not burn any oil at all.
Unfortunatly I have to deal with the Dealer/Dealer I bought it from/Customer Service/Area Rep because I feel and have strongly expressed to them that this should not be my issue because.
1. Purchased the car at 73k (From an Acura Dealer) and when I brought it in for the first oil change at 78k there was no oil on the dipstick.
2. The Acura dealership close to my home should have fixed it there and then, but they refuse to Acknowledge that there is a problem as they have told me repeatatly that it is normal.
I have called the dealership I bought it from and spoke the area rep laid into him...
I am now awaiting to hear from him ....

go to the back of the car, and put your finger in the exhaust pipe, rub the edge and see how much oil gets on your finger. This will be a good sign of whats really going on. The car should not burn that kind of oil, if anything it should burn MAYBE half a quart every 3,000 miles even if you do drive in v-tec often. Other then that, i think you have some internal problems, the rings could be shot, are you sure it doesnt leak? Check all the seals, espesially the cam seals.
good luck

Anyway, yeah burning a quart of oil every 700 miles is way too much. Don't you guys use liters up there though? That's the thing about warranties. You have to fight hard to get it to actually work for you. My friend bought the lifetime no matter what we will replace warranty on her tires from America's Tires and after less than a year the tire has uneven wear. It's a completely stock GSR. But they refuse to replace claiming bad alignment, or blah blah.
After having confirmed from the Area Rep that they will not do anything for me till it reaches the 1 Litre /1500km I told him that I want to start the tests over at a different dealership. The dealership that was doing it originally was putting down a different amount than what they were telling me and of Course Customer Service always has to take the word of the dealership....
Anyhow.. I had my girlfriends dad check it for me last night as he is a service adviser at a GM dealership and it was down a litre and a bit just over 1000 kms.. (~650 miles)... Bringing it in today at the different dealership....
