In very RARE cases some shops that are certified Comptech Dealers will retail them for under what it listed on Comptech's site (which is how I obtained my Comptech I/H/E along with some old fashioned bargaining in person). See if your local shops are authorized Comptech dealers and check the prices there. Most likely they're pretty close to what is listed on Comptech's site.

The other option is to search the classifieds for used parts.

Here's a nice low price for you to pricematch with:

Comptech Sway Bar 22mm / Tie Bar (Clear/Red) - 94-01 Acura Integra non Type R
$372.99

http://www.diabloautosports.com/prod...67112ddceec651

If I were you I'd go to their shop and order it in person. They're located near Pleasanton.

There are plenty of other shops in NorCal, let me see if I can find anything cheaper.

I have the Comptech Sway bar/Tie bar combo.
The reason I got it instead of just the ITR bar w/ BSQ kit is because the latter setup just doesn't seem secure to me. :dunno:
I'd rather spend a little bit more and make sure I get some nice subframe reinforcement.

Tip: DO NOT set sway bar to full stiffness...bad things can happen. :wtc:

you might want to try www.autocarparts.com also.

From Mike B @ Comptech:
"One big difference between our swaybar and the others is that ours comes with a one piece billet tie bar that acts as a mount for the swaybar. The ITR 22mm bar itself would be the same stiffness as ours but uses mounts that flex (like all the stock ones do) so it's effective rate would be softer than ours. The adjustments on the bar make only about a 5% change in rate so they are for fine tuning only."

Hope this helps.

Good question. You *may* want to upgrade your front sway to something bigger. Running a beefy Comptech rear setup on a stock front sway is a bit tricky to run on the street as Black2000GSR implied.

Reason why people buy the stiffer rear sway bar is that it increases the rear roll stiffness introducing more neutral handling, less understeer. Increasing the front sway bar stiffness will increase understeer, or decrease the benefit of having a larger rear roll bar.

A cheap and effective way to decrease understeer that autocrossers use is to unhook the front swaybar.

Keep the stock front bar and get the comptech or ITR rear sway bar!!

nah...it's fine in the middle setting. just a little too stiff on full stiff.....unexpected oversteer. h:

Judging from his post I assumed he was just going to run it on the street.

I was going to be a prick and tell him that for best "performance" he would need to take out his front sway, put the comptech rear sway/tie on full stiff, and order custom 400F/700R springrates. But I don't think he would've appreciated that bit of advice once he tried to drive his car on the street hehe.
