One of my friends got some kind of $20 short shifter off e-bay for his 97 gsr. What all will he need for the install ? What other parts will he need. Thanks

Well, let him know that he'll be replacing that thing in about 2-3 months. Those cheap short-shifters cause nothing but problems and break when shifting (many cases already, do a search and youll find them).

but since he wont listen, heres what you need. He can reuse the stock hardware to connect the shifter to the transmission arm. I recommend while under there you replace the bushings with Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings - they make a word of difference in shifter feel.
