Default maintenance light is commin on

hey guys my maintenance light is flashing when i start my integ now... i have had a bad clutch for a month now and i KNOW it has to be replaced asap, do u think its from that? or u think its something like timing belt ect... no weird noises from engine compartment.... it has 140k miles on it and mostly freeway miles... any ideas would help, i know its kinda vague but hey worth a shot

depending on your year integra there are 2 ways to get rid of the light....or maybe 3

1 if you have a 96 integra there is a key slot on the left side of your steering wheel to the bottom all you have to do is insert the key and it will reset

2. if you have an older integra there is a bluish green button located to the right of the steering wheel and under near the pedals you will have to look almost up at it lying down near the pedals to see it hold the button down for a few secs and it will clear

3 any newer then 96 or older then gen 3 integras i would consult the owners manual or if you dont have it call an acura dealership and ask them where the reset is located

the maint req light is set off according to mileage to the last time it was reset depending on the mileage it will blink or stay on for ignition or in your case (over 7500 miles) stay on...

check for the button. stick your head under the steering wheel, and look up. it should be a square button.

It doesnt mean anything is wrong with you car, it just goes off every 5k miles or something so you will take it to acura.

Yea, the maintence required thing is just to like let u know oil needs to be changed or whatever, nothing to worry about. You really don't even have to lie down in the floor of your car. If you are sitting in the drivers seat, reach down with your right hand and feel up under the kick panel, it's right there, a little blue square button, easiest thing in the world to do, I kicked myself when i found out too...lol
