Anti-Theft, Kill switch, Fuel pump/cut-off switch.
How do I install these kind of theft deterrant of my car,
should I put a hidden switch on my fuel pump, or in my ignition?
Both?
My car was broken into two days ago at my work place, the thieves didnt have time to do anything, since nothing was missing, my guess is that someone migh have drove by and scared them away before they were done w/the car.
What other kind of circuit can I bypass with a Hidden switch so that the engine wont start in case some one tries to steal my car?
I know that this question has been asked many times but no one has explained how exactly this works, or how to install them.
Diagrams of the wiring/process would be great.
thanks for the help.

You can put a fuel pump cut off switch somewhere hidden in your car very easily.
All you really have to do is find the power wire that goes to your fuel pump when you put the key to ON . Just use a volt light to do it, the light will go on then off for a sec when you put the ignition to ON. Once you find the wire follow it back towards the front of the car, cut it, add wire to make it reach where you want the switch to be, run the wire back to the other end of the wire you already cut and tadah.
PS: This is how I did it in my VW Corrado and it works fine, but it may or may not be the way to do it in a teg.
note to self: do this in the teg
