Default Clutch Question

I purchased ACT XT-SS for my GS about a while ago..
at the time.. i didn't realized that i have a GSR tran in my car.. (totally forgot) so then recently found out instead of getting the GSR one's i got the GS one's for my teg

Since after the clutch breakin, whenever i am shifting it makes some funny noise.. like wind blows...anyways, so what do i need to do to fix this problem? by just change the bearing? are the clutch kits the same? and a friend of mine told me i can just get the bearing from the dealer and swap it.. would the stock bearing work with my act kit?

thanks guys~

Clutch kits are the same for 92+ Integras.

You should have installed a new throwout bearing when you changed your clutch, ACTs come with one.

i understand.. but the thing is.. i have a GSR tran but instead of getting the correct clutch kit i bought the non-Vtec one's in it..
so turned out that the bearing is different so that's why it's making werid noise.

Would i be able to keep the clutch and just swap the correct bearing on it?

Assuming that the bearing is the only difference then yes it should be as simple as changing the bearing. Have you looked over all the part numbers on the ACT site, I have the HDSS and I thought that the part numbers were all the same for my RS and the GS-R's and Type-R's but I may have not noticed a different bearing, look over their site.

The clutch kits are all the same for 92+, even if you have an LS, GS, or GS-R.

Thanks for replying guys..
yeah i did check the ACT site.. seems to me all the part numbers are the same.. but one thing though
on the non-Vtec section it includes "Applications: B Series Except GSR Hydraulic 220mm " and on the GSR,ITR section, it doesn't show.. so i assume the bearing is different.

thanks man.. so i assum the factory GSR bearing would work with ACT clutch.. i know like spoon/toda/exedy does.
coz if would be too much hassel to order just a bearing from ACT or other little shops around here.. i would better off just go get it from the dealer.

thanks again

You can just order a throw-out bearing from your local Honda/Acura dealership. It's nothing special that ACT makes or something, whichever is cheaper for you.

See I think that the only difference is that the pressure increase is like 55% over stock for the RS/LS.. and it's like 35% for the GS-R and Type-R. I'm pretty sure all the parts and what not are the same it's just the difference in pressure change because of the differenc stock clutches. In saying that I have no idea what the isse would be then??????
