Me personally I like DC Sports (not the twin-canister), Comptech and Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion. All have stainless pipes and pretty inoffensive looking and sounding mufflers but are more aggressive than your typical "quiet" aftermarket exhaust like an A'PEXi WS.

Is there any particular reason that you do not care for the twin-canister design from DC Sports? I thought it looked really good on my friends Civic, it also sounded fairly nice. As for performance gains over the stock exhaust, I cannot comment since he did not dyno it prior to or after the install.

I dont know that you're going to see much of a power increase. I had a Type R muffler on my Teg and I liked it alot. I didnt get it as much for the power increase but for the looks and sound. Sounded a lot better than the muffler I had and it looks good. You're going to an increase from the larger diameter exhaust piping and not from the muffler itself.
for you type-r exhaust owners, is the sound noticeable and deep? My gsr exhaust is too quiet. Do any of you guys have experience with magnaflow or dynomax mufflers? heard they're pretty quiet.
you get a nice sound with the type r muffler. its a nice sound. but of all the type r mufflers ive heard on a non-type r, theres always this annoying buzzing. including mine.
