Super Racing Medalion has stainless pipes, Racing Medalion does not. Generally with Tanabe if it has "super" in the name that means it's the all-stainless version.

Both forms of the RM and N1 are loud as hell to me, make sure you're a loud exhaust person before you buy any of them. My personal fav Tanabe is the Super Hyper Medallion; stainless pipes, not too overly agressive look or sound but still not stock-quiet like an A'PEXi WS or something.

I'm sure you can find the loud exhaust person thread, it's become legendary by now.

ha,yes i am a "loud exhaust person"-it's just me,maybe i'll grow out of it someday.

i have a chance to get a new tanable RM for $250even.(this is the best thing that's happened to me this year),so i'm going to buy it to hold me over till i have the money for my 2.5 jdm 4-1 header,2.5 cat,and 2.5 hytech exhaust

i just wanted to now if it was going to be louder than my friends n1.
thanks for the replies.

my brother's rm on his 96 gsr sounds deep and throaty in the low to mid range. but when he steps on it it starts sounding like bees in a can.

I love my N1 on my integra. I had a friend with a Racing Medallion on a GSR, and it was very high pitched and raspy. My N1 is deep and throaty.
