what should i do when....
i'm gunna get my timing belt and water pump replaced(cam seal too),and was wondering if theres anything else you guys think i should do at the same time.aslo does $250 for labor only sound right for a timing belt and water pump change on a b18c1?
My shop does all B series and D series timing belts for $350.00 total, so i'd have to say that sounds about right. The water pump should only bump the total cost around $100.00 or so. Once you break it down enough to change the timing belt, the water pump is only a few more bolts, so they really should charge you minimum for labor. I think dealer cost is somewhere around $75-90 for a water pump. What you've listed is exactly what you need to change. Can't hurt to slap some new drive belts on there as well, while youre into it. Good luck.
i just finished doing a timing belt and water pump the other day and i suggest that you get new cam seals and crank seal as well.....your in there and you might as well get them done
