does this thing actually work... i searched the forums and only one person had negative things to say about it.... any other opinions?

I've never used it, but one of my local news station did a test on it, and they gave it a negative review. It like took more then one try to "try" and get the bump out. When the ding did come out, the glue used to pull it out got stuck on the car, and while removing the glue the ding got pushed back in. They mention on the product itself it says something like you have to try up to ten times or somthing, and by the time the reporter said she gave up on the product, the ding on the car looked worse b/c it was pushed out pushed in so many times. So I'd stay away.

Dry ice can mess up your paint if you're not careful. This PDR (paintless dent removal) stuff generally will run you a couple hundred bucks for the whole car and get rid of a ton of little dents and other surface imperfections.
