Default Help.. coilover problem

The spring keeps sliding forward on the perches and is rubbing the hell out of the sleeve. I looked at it and a bunch of the threads on the sleeves are all bent from the rubbing of the spring. My friend told me that there is a bushing or something that the top of the spring sits in and that it might need to be replaced. Does anyone else have an idea as to what it might be???? I got skunk2 coilovers if that might help any.
PLEASE HELP....

Luc

There's a rubber bump stop that fits inside, but that's only there to prevent the shocks from bottoming out. The spring seats should prevent what you're describing from happening as you can see in this diagram. I assume it's happening at the bottom, where the threads are. But, anyway, the diagram also indicates there's some rubber componants at the top between the base mount and the spring.
