does anyone know where to buy the hinges for the sunroof. mine is messed up and rattles to damn much...

 

hinges? the factory roof is motorized, no hinges at all. the rattle you're hearing may be from the visor/screen underneath the glass that's gone off its track. if you don't slide the screen back by hand before using the power switch to open the roof, it'll knock it off the track. you just have to take out the headliner and put it back in.....simple task, but it takes a bit of time just because of all the parts you gotta take out to get the headliner off.

Buy a helms manual here and guard it with your life. Single best investment you'll ever make for your car.

dude, i don't have the motorized sunroof...I have an RS...not a GS or LS...don't forget. It is a glass sunroof that just vents open, OR goes open a bit. It isn't the type that slides back.

mike's right.....your sunroof is definitely aftermarket. check parts stores, like a kragen, pep boys, autozone, jocko's, napa, etc. someone's bound to have something.

 

The guy who ruined the RS by putting the sun roof on there should be shot. I like sunroofs too but why ruin the structure.

 

The odd thing is...it looks factory. so what your saying is the RS trim level includes no sunroof, just a solid roof right?
how does it RUIN the structure? I'm gonna get front and rear sway bars anyway so that will definitly make an improvement.

no rs has ever come with a factory sunroof, moonroof, or anything other than a solid sheet of metal. the reason some people think adding one in is because it increases the weight of the car (glass weighs more than sheetmetal)........however, if you didn't buy the RS for its weight advantages, give a big finger up in the air to people who think you're stupid for adding something you like. Adding a sunroof adds about .000003% chassis flex....i.e. you'll never notice it on a street car. So for those who are *****ing about the addition of a sunroof/moonroof, setz dich hin und halt die schnautze (sit the f down and shut the f up). It's his car, let him do what he wants with it. Hopefully we were able to answer your question before the moron came in and was whining about what someone else was doing to a car that isn't his.
