Default Car died, need help troubleshooting it.

This is a double post from the engine/tech forum, but that one doesn't seem to get much traffic, so I'm posting it here too.

91 Integra LS:

I was cruising on the highway at about 65mph the other day and suddenly my engine lost power. It was still running, but I had no power to accelerate. I downshifted to 4th and floored it, I was barely holding my speed at 45mph, and the engine didn't get louder like normally at WOT. I tried putting it into 3rd and doing the same, but it just slowed me down more. I shifted back up into 4th and just held it at WOT for as long as I could. The car gradually slowed down more and more, until eventually I just stopped it with the brakes. As soon as I came to a complete stop the engine stalled. I tried starting it back up right away, and it ran for a whole second, and stalled again....it hasn't started since.

WTF could be wrong with my car? Its getting spark, there is fuel pressure (not sure how much) I didn't run out of gas, the timing belt isn't broken, and the engine cranks with the key....

Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

Did you check:
- sufficient fuel reaching the fuel injectors?
- vacuum leak between intake manifold and throttle body (heard of this before)?
- distributor damaged?
- spark plugs are okay (ie gap, spark plug wires)?
- fuel filter clogged?

Well I'm pretty sure the fuel filter isn't clogged becuase it shoots fuel out of the service hole when I put the key to ON. How would I check if there is a sufficient amount of fuel at the injectors?

I'll have to take a look for a vacuum leak, didn't think about that.

The spark plug wires are brand new, and the gap seems OK on the plugs, but I didn't check it with a gapper.....seemed to be something more than that since I can't imagine all the spark plugs being off so much that the engine wont even run.

Oil my friend...the same thing happened to my Prizm. Check and make sure you got enough oil in there. Can you turn it over by hand? If not, you may have seized the engine. Of course you should have heard a lot more noise and seen an oil light/check engine light so I dunno.....

Check to see if there's any non-coolant type stuff in the coolant and look for gasoline in the oil. Sounds like either a bad headgasket, piston rings or both.

The headgasket is pretty new. I had to replace a valve a few months ago and we put a new head gasket on when we did that. Even if it was, why would it go so suddenly?
