Default engine sounds weird...

so i started the car today, put it in first, and started to drive away, no music was going so i instantly heard something, i heard this gurgling sound, not a wet gurgle, but a gurgle from either the engine or exhaust, havnt found out where exactly though, it isnt the sound idle so i am assuming its the engine, is this a normal sound? i just remember the car sounding clean, only heard 2-5k rpm, after that it goes away (i usually drive 1900-2500rpm) just ran it a little harder today to see if it went away. I am due for an oil change in 500miles, but planned on changing it this week.

check your oil level, check for exhaust leaks..thats pretty much all i can suggest on the internet without looking at the car in person - sorry!

it can be various things making the sounds.

naw its cool bro, the exhaust now that i think about it, may be the culprit, the entire piping looks rusted, could be a hole somewhere, i do need a new exhaust, but dont exactly have the cash for one now, gona have to wait a month before i can get it fixed, oil looks fine, i am gettin it changed tomorrow, deal at the mechanic i go to, oil change with synthetic 6k miles, tire rotation, and 32point inspection for 17.99, cannot pass that up haha, plus i watch them like a hawk when they do my car, we'll find out tomorrow

think about getting your oil analyzed to know exactly how long you can go in between oil changes, and the condition of whats going on inside your engine. well worth it in my eyes. you may or may not be able to go longer/shorter than 6k

i change my oil 500 miles or 2 weeks before its due, whichever is first, i never let it go black, right now i have 682 miles before its due, but yeah i will get it analyzed, sounds like a good idea, i take pride in how my car sounds, haha much like you noticing little chirps and whatnot, these springs and struts are driving me nuts right now, i need something new before i decide to put myself in a mental institution lol

and what should a b18b go before an oil change, typically? you have a b18c right? is that the gsr vtec? or is it the a? i get them mixed up haha

B18A is the old LS engine from the early 2nd gen integras (1990+). then it became the B18B halfway through the 2nd gen integras and throughout the entire 3rd gen integras (1994 and up)

B18C is the GSR engine from 3rd gen integras.

Spec R's "new" integra has the B18B.

yeah after i posted it i felt like a retard haha, i was like, oh wait he has a gs, just a 2dr, haha, yeah apparently my rack and pinion bushings were torn, exhaust was fine, i need new rear brakes, but i knew that, battery, i knew that too, otherwise, car is clean as a whistle, glad i bought a warranty, acura fixing the rack and pinion bushings free as well as anything that seems out of the ordinary that is covered on my warranty. i watched the oil dump, was a light amber, the dude said i could have went awhile, but he knows how picky i am. maybe i am just being paranoid, its like when i thought i had a problem with my clutch, its perfectly fine haha, who knows
