Default help?

can anyone tell me whats wrong with my car?
97 gsr

i was getting on the highway and i was going from 3rd to 4th gear and went to second gear instead, as soon as i felt the rpms jump i corrected my shift.. ever since i get vibration in my shifter when im over like 4000rpms and when i rest my foot on the clutch i can feel vibration in the clutch... i took it to my mechanic and he could not pin point the problem but said nothing is wrong with the motor (whew). he said his best guess is the clutch or just from my exhaust vibrating the car. (but not sure because he didnt actually take the clutch out). i really doubt its my exhaust causing this. has anyone had this problem or have a suggestion of what might be wrong? any response would be greatly appreciated.

How much vibration in the shifter? There's always a noticeable amount in certain RPM ranges.

my stock clutch has 90k on it and im still chirping 2nd fine. but it depends on how the car was driven. it wouldn't be bad to have the clutch replaced though.

MY MECHANIC SAID THE VIBRATION COULD BE DUE TO SOMETHING THAT IS LOOSE IN THE CLUTCH. BUT WOULD THE VIBRATION IN THE CLUTCH MAKE MY SHIFTER VIBRATE? (ITS SO ANNOYING HAVING MY SHIFTER VIBRATE IT FEELS LIKE IM SHIFING WITH A VIBRATOR.)
AND I DRIVE MY CAR PRETTY CONSERVATIVELY. I MEAN OF COURSE I HAVE DRIVEN IT HARD, BUT I THINK I TAKE CARE OF IT.
