i have a friend that makes carbon fiber ankle braces for some athletic company. he says its really expensive but really wants to build me some stuff. i'm thinking about something to cover my electrical system, or replace below the cd player where the ash tray is for a safc.

CF prices are getting really cheap, at least for manufacturer of the parts.

if you had the money for a carbon fiber frame, you would have the money for a ferrari.

compared to the prices 10 years ago($450 a lb), c/f is extremely cheap today($5 a lb). but it is still much more expensive than aluminum.

ACtually they do. It's called the Mclaren F1. It's pretty affordable too, since you know, molding carbon fiber is within every racer's reach.

Shingo

ps. I have a video of how they actually mold the shell for the F1...maybe Crash over here can look at it for a few pointers on how to do it himself.
