Default 2000-01 GSR Header on a 1995 LS

Ran a search and couldn't find this info, will a header from a 00-01 GSR fit my 95 LS? I've been told the exhaust will but I would like to know if the header does. I checked the model numbers for DC Sports, the exhaust has the same model but the header doesn't. Thanks.

Default its not scientific, but it might tell you.

Im not sure if it will, you could get a GSR manifold gasket and hold it up against it and check for clearance. It will save you the trouble of tryong to fit the actual header on first.

It will fit.

All 2000-2001 GSR, 97-01 ITR and 94-01 LS headers are interchangeable.

Thanks for the replies. I don't have a gasket but I guess I could check it when i go to pick up the header.

Newgsrdriver, where did you get the info? someone told me on another board that it would fit, but the newer GSR's have the O2 sensor on the cat while my older LS (which is OBD1) has the O2 sensor on the header.

The LS does have a bung on the header, and if the 00-01 GSR's dont have one, you could always have one made in the header or the cat and pop it in there.

I was under the impression that the 00-01 GSR headers did have a bung...maybe not? Anyone know for sure?

'00-'01 GS-R's have a sensor on the header as well as on the cat. if by "bung" you mean a hole for an 02 sensor, then yes, they have one.

Bingo...the bung is where the 02 sensor plugs in, so in essence, yes a bung means the 02 "hole"

I thought so!

It does have a bung -> it will fit? Cool! Is it that OBD1 cars only have the sensor on the header and OBD2 cars have it on the header AND cat?

Does anybody know why DC Sports at least would have a diff model # for each (though the catback is the same) and would you have any info on whether this is the case with other companies?

I guess it's looking more likely like i will get it, but that would suck if i do and then find out theres a little part that won't fit like the O2 sensor wire doesn't reach or something.

am i understanding that a 94-99 gsr header has the same o2 bung location as a 92-95 ls? i think that sounds right. all im asking about is the header. the cat doesnt matter, just the headers are in question here.
