A buddy of mine is selling a b18c1 for 1000 $ without the harness and computer. The only problem is that the engine is already out of the car, just sitting in his garage.......Is there anything I can check as far as the engine is concerned to see what type of condition it is in , without actually starting it up ? Is it even possible to start it up like that or no ? And if so, how ? Last question........Where is a good place to go to get 95 obd1 computers, and harnesses ?

Well you could always pull the head and inspect everything yourself. Make sure the pistons looks to be in good shape, valves ok, etc.

 

have a compression test performed.

 

So if the compression test is performed and the reaults are good, that more than likely means that the engine is in optimal condition ?
