The reliability of DSMs is indeed blown out of proportion. There is a higher tendency of stuff to break though, especially considering that most of them get more extensively modified than Hondas do. The parts are pretty cheap though, you can get a new 4G63 block for like the cost of a B18B tops.

You can always hook up a 100 shot of nitrous for one run. But prepare to say goodbye to your motor and tranny.

I'm going to use my car as an everyday driver but I want it to be good for the usual stoplight run-ins but I also want the car to be good on a road course. I've got a road around where I live that is awesome to drive on.

responding to M.D. he already has a Thermal exhaust and a some Toyo Proxes and a new ACT stage 1 clutch.

he has exhaust and downpipe? i say forget about beating him unless you have deep pockets.
