An alarm is only as good as the location of its brain.

Want to feel comfortable sleeping knowing that only a SUPER good thief or a towtruck is getting your ride?

Good alarm
Hidden custom kill switch
VIN cover
Standard Fuel kill
Standard Ignition Kill
Fake brain
Battery backup siren
Backup airhorns in the interior, hidden and battery powered
Autolock
Doorlock tabs removed

If youre in a hurry and want some quick security...just pull the ECU fuse. The chances of a thief carrying around fuses is probably slim...maybe the good ones, but Im not too sure how common that is.
lol, I think this should be stickied. That is by far the most comprehensive anti-theft list I have ever seen, anywhere.

Another anti-theft device you may want to try is a car cover equipped with a combo lock. Better yet, a car cover with the "Ford" blue oval stamped all over. No casual thief walking by would bother.

But ultimately, if some car theft gang has been tracking your car, no amount of anti-theft gadgets will stop a tow-truck from taking your car away.

I have an alarm, plus the passage alarm system where my car cannot be started without an acura key and can't be hotwired. If they want it they need to tow it or flatbed it. If they do they no other alarm system will deter them so why even try.

Youre not giving theives enough credit my friend! That chip embedded in that special Acura key takes about 9 seconds to bypass.

Add a hoodlock to that list, and youre one TOTAL pain in the ass for a thief!

i block my car with other cars at night.

i'm gonna get an aftermarket steering wheel which is easily detachable. so no steering wheel is a big help. good alarm with proximity sensors and backup battery with air horns.

and my dog is always on the look out.

You guys are thinking way to expensive, If you concerned about your car being stolen, the autolock is the way to go. How the hell are the gonna take it if they cant even push the clutch in. Now they can take your stereo or whatever, put if your worried about your car actually being stolen the autolock is the way too go..........got one on the Civic and Eclipse.

I don't no if its true, but I heard a stun gun can short out the proximity sensor and brain on some alarms.

You must not have a airbag, me I'd rather live than have a aftermarket steering wheel.

I figure if they steal it I have insurance for it. It is covered for a few thousand more than it is worth so I make money on the deal. If a thief wants your car bad enough, they will get it somehow. I'm not gonna make life hard on me by putting a hood lock or auto lock or the club on my car as well. I stay away from bad neighborhoods and it is always in safe areas as well.
