why are the apexi intake filters so freakin expensive. its like 150 for a freakin filter where i could go with k and n and it would be alot cheaper. there has got to be something good about this thing.

 

i think those filters are the ones you dont have to maintain. meaning no cleaning and should last a lifetime.

i would also just go with KN.

 

Its expensive because its Apex'i. Thats all....most of the other more popular aftermarket filters are the same way.

there isnt much difference with the flow of either filter... i beleive the foam ones have to be thicker to stop particles better, restricting flow a little bit, but not enough so that you'll feel it.

as for cotton gauze filter comparisons, they are all the same material so they will all flow well.

 

the apex new power filter is much better than all the other filters out in the market right now. althought they were expensive now the prices have gone down significally since they are now in the us market. go to ww.google.com and do a search for them, u should be able to get them shipped for 85-90 shipped. i went though a bunch of sites and cheapeast one was 80 shipped but forgot website. if you look hard enough you'll find it. personally I think if your old filter is in need of replacement, you mind as well get this . for 40 dollars more u'll get one that last longer and filters better and might even give you a few more ponies.
