1994 GSR Now Affordable?
I have been wanting an Integra for about a year now. At first, a 1994 GS-R costed from $6-7k with decent miles. Alot of time has elapsed since then, and I think they are cheaper now. On KBB, the private party value on a 1994 Acura Integra GS-R with 100k miles in good condition is $5,205!!! Is that realistic? Is it now possible that I can afford a 3rd Gen. GSR? Please let me know, I am very interested at this possible oppurtunity! Thanks!

i doubt you'd find one for that low though...but maybe. just because the blue book says something doesn't mean someone is going to sell that car to you for the exact amount on the blue book. most likely they'll jack it up.

Will, sounds like he bought it from someone who went by the bluebook value and knows nothing about the worth of a GSR. If anyone knows anything about their car, they will jack up the price a little. I say if you find a GSR for 6K jump on it, it won't last for long at that price, even though the blue book value is 1K less.

You don't have to find a car where the asking price matches your budget. Asking prices can be totally overinflated. About a month ago I saw a '90 Civic Si hatch advertised on autotrader.com for $6000. That car is worth maybe $2000.
Find a car you would like to buy. Plug the stuff into the edmunds.com "true market value" thingie and if it comes out to a price you like, print it out and show it to the owner. Pretty simple.

I think in the longrun an LS would be better for me. As a 17 year old, insurance is going to kill me either way, but more so with the GSR. Plus the LS is better for boosting. I am trying to decide between a second generation and a third. I LOVE the way black third gens look, and I LOVE the way white second gens look. Third gens have more aftermarket, and also is a slightly newer car. Second gens are less common, and I could probably get one in really nice condition with the money I have. I think I will get whichever I see first that fits my standards. Thanks for all of the help!
