I do not like the look of the 8000K...I think the output looks funny. Try and get the 4300K...they are the best for light output. Any higher on the Kelvin scale and you are only paying for a difference in color.

4300k is the best light output
higher then that you are getting to the blueish purple range
may look pretty but not going to get you any better light output
which is why you should be getting HID's

I have the 6000k kit and it is white ish purplish like the BMW's and Audi's. It has tons of light output and has nice color too. A tad less than 4300 but with the 4300 kit I know people who get flashed all the time cause the light is too white and looks like brights are on.

I have the 6000k HID kit on my M3 and its got beautiful light ouput. The 4300k still has a little yellow in it. Here is a good link for light comparisons http://www.geocities.com/kitwetzler/ Below is a picture showing the difference between 6000k and 4300k. If it comes up as just a red x, right click on it and click show picture. Geocities has issues.

You can see how blue the 6000K kit is on the left. It's very nice. I was surprised at how much I liked it. This VERY high quality (and expensive) 6000K HID kit puts out as much light as a 4300K kit, as obvious by the light. However, this is not always the case. Many 6000K kits put out much less than comparable 4300K kits. The ZKW lights also put out a sharper kick up on the right side, the bosch projectors are more diffuse after they kick up.

I took this picture of my 6000k lights agains the wall at 25ft. They are really bright, but I would say anything above 6000k just looks odd and light is less. Oh if your wondering why the light kicks up toward the right its designed that way to illuminate road signs better for saftey.
