koni on stiff bad?

Default koni on stiff bad?

i have koni yellows with h&r sports, i was just wondering if it might be bad at all on the shocks if i always drive with them on their stiffest setting with the sport springs?

On the track, no. For daily driving (assuming your city has a fair share of potholes and imperfections), yes.

thats what im thinking, i dont want to put stress on the shocks, but once you put them on stiff, its hard to put them back.

i wouldnt be bad for the shocks, but it isn't good for your kidneys and spine.

You should never drive them on the stiffest setting. You're supposed to crank it up all the way, then go back a quarter turn. You will damage your shocks.

Koni doesn't say anywhere in the manuals included with their shocks to turn them back down.

Besides, they have a lifetime replacement warranty on them anyways.

I forget off hand exactly how the adjustment works, but it involves a valve. And that the valve should always be at least 1/8 of the way open or else bad things will happen.

it would be all the way open if it was on the stiffest setting right?

Judging from what MrFatBooty said, I'm thinking it'd be all the way closed. You can run them on the softest setting no problem. Technically the shocks are infinitely adjustable; I usually go one turn from full soft to 1.5-1.75 turns.
