Default differences between header

I am wondering if headers made for GSR will fit LS? I don't understand why JDM ITR header will fit all integra whereas some other header say it will fit GSR/type R only?
Thanks

Its about the length. Where it mates up to the exhaust. JDM header will have to be modified also.

The flange on all B-series heads is the same.

The reason people adapt the JDM ITR header onto other cars is because it has a larger collector than for the other cars.

yes...the secondaries (the straight pipes/collector) have different lengths for different models in some different years. The primaries however all fit up against the block but it will require modification AFTER the header to make it fit properly to the exhaust.

Is there any difference between JDM type R and US GSR length cause I was looking at the T1R cat and they have different part number...
If possible, would anybody mind to list or recommend some of the header with 2.5 collector end because most of them didn't list the specs. How about the RS*R header for GSR? Does it have a 2.5 collector end and if I get it, which cat should I get(the JDM or GSR)?
Thanks

There are two versions (mechanically at least) of the ITR. The one we got is the same as the '96-'97 jap-spec model. In '98 they came out with the Integra Type-R 98spec which has 16" wheels, thicker roll bars and the 2.5" exhaust system.

Anyway.

The cat on the '94-'99(?) GSR is shorter than the RS/LS/GS/SE. So the collector is longer. The '00-'01 GSR has the same length cat as the non VTEC models. If you have a "universal" cat it still needs to be the right length to match the header.

When people have crazy all-motor setups it makes sense to step up to a 2.5" exhaust, and the "JDM ITR" type headers have a 2.5" collector which helps in that regard.

Sorry if I sound repetitive, just wanted to cover all the points.

If you plan on making a lot of all-motor power, get some kind of 2.5" header, a Carsound 2.5" cat that you'll need to have flanges welded onto by a muffler shop, and a custom 2.5" catback.

The stock Honda JDM 98spec ITR header, DC Sports JDM 4-1, JG/Edelbrock, Spoon, Mugen, Toda, SMSP and Hytech headers all have a 2.5" collector.

If you're just looking to do intake/header/exhaust just get the bolt ons and keep your stock cat. It's a helluva lot simpler.
