LSD = Limited-slip differential.

For an explanation: http://www.howstuffworks.com/differential.htm

The Honda LSDs are a helical gearset torque-sensing type.

so if it just prevent the inside tire from slipping when taking a turn, should you still want it for drag racing?

if you like 1 wheel burnouts, don't get an LSD.

it will help in drag racing too. rarely do both tires recieve the same amount of torque with an open diff, and rarely do they get the same traction. an LSD will help transfer equal torque between the wheels, and will help send more power to the tire that has more traction.

It will help keep you from peg-legging down the track. You will get better traction.
