What do you mean? Are you having trouble engaging it or is it just coming out of cruise control during a cruise. You have to be accelerating for it to work I'm pretty sure.

Your question is too broad, it could be numerous things. It could be the harness, the actuator, the switch, the computer, or one of the safety cut-off switches. You need to check all of them(see if the owner's manual says anything too).

This may sound stupid, but doesn't the car have to be going more than like 30 for the cruise to engage? Cause that might be something to notice.

I have a 96 and I have that exact same problem, except I think I may have done something to caues it to do this. A while ago I was sitting in my car with the keys in the ignition and that stupid jingle was going on and wouldn't stop just cause my door was open.

Well me being the dumass that I am took out the starter signal fuse so it would stop. Well it stopped, but so did my rear defroster, the first speed on my windshield wipers, all of my interior dome lights, and the cruise control would only work everynow and then. So I was like hmm I'm putting that fuse back.

So I put the fuse back and nothing came back!!!...I checked to see if any of the fuses were busted, if I had put the wrong powers in like a 15 instead of a 20, and everythign was perfect. I have no clue what is wrong and it only went wrong cause I took out that fuse. Does anyone have any clue as to what the heck I did?????????

My cruise worked last night. But then I tried it this morning and it would not engage. When it engages everything works perfect. What is the safty cut off switch? Will your car not go into cruise control if a number of other thing ore wrong with it?

this may be lame but maybe one of ur pedals is stuck down slighty...this may cause the cruise control not to engage...my clutch pedal is down a little in it's free movement area so mine won't engage.

I have the original clutch so nothing has ever been done to the pedal and it is very tight so there is no give on the pedal so I dont think that is the problem. I am still wondering what the safty cut off is?
