importance of 60k service
How important is the 60K service?
I was looking at the manual and the only thing the dealership is going to replace is engine oil and filter, air cleaner, and spark plugs. The rest is inspection. The price for this service is $300.
Is it safe to replace these items myself and take it to the dealer at the 90K service?

Its nothing the average modder cant do by themselves. If you are iffy about the adjustment, do the rest of the service yourself, and then take it to a Honda dealer for the valve adjustment. Typically a Honda dealer is cheaper than Acura for these services... the place near me wanted $30 for an adjustment.

Also replace the ABS high-pressure hose.
Here's the thing with inspections: you can't just like, skip em. The reason the manual says to inspect for those things is because they're possibly worn out and in need of fixing. If you get a Helms manual it will give you a detailed chart of everything that needs to be done at each scheduled maintenance and then will direct you to each page describing how you can go about inspecting things.
