Default Stalling Problem...Please help!

My mom has a '95 Ls. For the past few days, when you ease off the clutch to let it catch, the car gets really sputtery and stalls. If you want it to catch and not stall, you have to rev the crap out of the engine. When she told me about it, my initial guess was maybe plugs/wires, but the car idles fine, and drives fine once you get going...theres no hesitation. Its just when you ease off the clutch from a stop to initially get the car moving that it starts to stall. Its not that we don't know how to drive stick and its just stalling b/c of that (my mom has had the car since '95 with no probs so obviously she knows how and I am competent myself as well). Anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

How many miles are on it? Original clutch?
Could possibly be an issue with the clutch disc/pressure plate

sorry, I forgot to put that in there. Its the original clutch, but the car only has 70k on it. I know Honda clutches last much longer than that.

It's every stop or just the first get-go of the day? Mine does that when I first pull out of the driveway but is fine the rest of the day. I think it's a fuel problem.

no...its not the first start up...its pretty much all day. Occasionally, it works fine...but the majority of the time, it does that. Think its an injector problem or maybe bad plugs/wires?

What happens if you try to go up a hill in fifth gear around fourty? Does the car slow down or do the revs climb while the car gains little to no speed proportionately?

Try going up a hill in fifth (briefly), if it is reving while speed isnt increasing then your clutch is probobaly slipping.

check your spark plugs. they could need replacing. if not that, try running some fuel injector cleaner through it. if that still doesn't work, i would have to say its a problem with fuel delivery.

My money is on ignition... One question, has the timing belt been replaced? Could have slipped a tooth. If it's off by a tooth, it may still idle fine, and run fine above 2500 rpms or so, but below it'll be doggy as hell. Might as well check it and see if the belt slipped, or if the tensioner broke and isn't keeping it tight. Other than that, check the plug wires and spark plugs.
