Default How Much Can I Lower?

I've got a 97 gsr. I've got 17" wheels ready to go on but I wanna lower it first. I have a camber kit and some kyb shocks sitting in the garage so all I need is springs. I'm going with solid springs. How low can I go on 17" wheels? I want to go as low as possible without rubbing problems.

2.25" is around the limit, depending on the offset of your wheels.

i was lowered at 2.5" at one point with 17's, and had a +37mm offest...so it rubbed on u-turns or hard bumps. i eventually bent the lip inside the fenderwell back to give the tire more clearance.

damn i was stupid!!

I'm down a little over 2 inches, or 2 inches even -- with no camber kit and on 17" tires with a +45mm offset (the wheels are pushed wayyyyyy inside the wheel well because of its offset).

I never rub. Ever.

I have a '97 as well with KYB AGX shocks and 17" rims. With the H&R Sport Springs I have I'm dropped 2" up front and 1.75 in the back. With the camber kit istalled I never rub either.
